Shadow Systems Glock 19 Slide - I currently use an MR918 frame with a custom milled G19 slide for my duty weapon and EDC. I also enjoyed and pondered the Shadow Systems slides. The frame is great, a significant improvement over the OEM Glock frame.
The build is exactly what I wanted and I wish it was available from the OEM. It's a small detail, but one that makes enough of a difference in wet weather that it's something that any duty weapon demands, because it's a positive when my hands are wet from rain, snow, and sweat. Helps maintain grip. Blood (not war related, thank you).

The grip angle and size can be adjusted to best suit the individual using the backstraps, which is a better implementation than what Glock offers. Another small detail, but instead of training around a gun that fits best, one that helps fit the gun to the person.

The magwell comes with a modest flare that works well, although an additional magwell can be added to ensure reloads are hard to miss. An added benefit of the optional magwell is that it forces my dominant into the same position every time. The biggest benefit I've found is the added stability.
Double trigger undercuts allow for a better natural grip without the famous "Glock nickel". In addition to improved ergonomics and control, this adds another index point for my support hand, which again helps stabilize my grip.
Additional features are that the extended magwell is still large enough to conceal with a decent holster and belt. It's the same size as the Magpul Magwell and works just as well. The beavertail is extended enough that I can hit high on the grip without biting the slide, which I have to try to bite to do. The overall adjustment of index levels and properties lead to a repeatable and consistent grip, allowing me to rip and go more naturally.
All of these features are stock, and the additional cost of offering Shadow Systems is less than the cost of adding each of these upgrades individually to the OEM frame. The same can be said for their slide, so the complete package will cost about the same or less than a full custom Glock while still offering great features overall.

Offering shadow systems does not make you master class Tier 1 operators. It only comes with consistent quality training and practice. However, it mitigates limitations from the gun with better ergonomics, higher reliability, and an overall better fit with the chosen system. If a shade system is within the budget, I recommend it.
